Simon Erridge, Foundation trustee, took on a 22km trail run through the undulating hills of the South Downs National Park raising £300 for Sapphire Medical Foundation this February.
Simon was part of the team that successfully raised £2,000 for Sapphire Medical Foundation at the Royal Parks Half marathon last October.
Simon explained his reasons for jumping back into fundraising for the Foundation: ‘We set up Sapphire Medical Foundation to help reduce the financial barriers to medicinal cannabis for those it would be most beneficial. As a small operation, every single pound raised will really help make a difference as to how many individuals we can help. I’m greatly appreciative of all those who donate to what is a fantastic cause.’
Speaking following the event he urged more people to come forward to help raise funds which go directly towards people in need: ‘The work we are doing at Sapphire Medical Foundation is very close to my heart and it would be great if more people could fundraise in their own ways to help improve patient’s lives. The Sapphire team can help support your fundraising attempts so please get in touch with us through the website‘.
